Georgia and China Strengthen Economic Cooperation in 2026

In June 2026, Georgia and China announced the elevation of their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, reflecting the growing importance of cooperation between the two countries. Tourism is also on the rise, with more Chinese visitors discovering Georgia and destinations such as Batumi. Improved connectivity and growing business ties are expected to support long-term economic growth.
